Both the WWE and TNAstarting were in bad shape.Panda Energy International decided to sell off TNA and wipe there hands clean of the whole company. and In stepped Alan Savage and Savage media Incorporated to pick up the pieces. While around the same time WWE board of directors trying to keep the company afloat, started to to auction off rights and footage of other companies (including WCW, the failed and now defunct ECW, and the AWA) and cutting devlopmental contracts and releasing many "susperstars". Before long Eric Bischoff1998. hadI boughthave upset everythingmy with the wcw name attached to it but with theroster rights to the footage, and the WCW name.
