Bobby Heenan, Mike Tenay, & Tony Schiavone.)

Tony Schiavone: Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen. And welcome to a sold out MCI Center. This is WCW Starrcade. I'm Tony Schiavone, here with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan,
and "The Professor" Mike Tenay.

Mike Tenay: The atmoshere is electric tonight! This crowd is pumped for Sting and Hogan. Tony.

Bobby Heenan: And they should be, Tenay. I've waited 2 years to see Hogan get what he deserves and for WCW to get the World title back.

Tony Shiavone: Well, Brain, There is more than that on the line tonight. If Eric Bischoff wins tonight Monday Nitro will belong to the nWo. You saw what they did last Monday to the Nitro set.

Bobby Heenan: Lets just hope Bret Hart is up to the task and doesn't let the nWo numbers game have an impact on that match.

Mike Tenay: I think Bret will have everything under control. But lets get the show rolling tonight with the WCW Cruiserwieght title match.

Match 1: Eddie Guerrero (c) vs. Dean Malenko in a Singles match for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship
Eddie and Dean were amazing in this Match. a real back and forth match Dean Malenko looked like he was going to bring the Title home tonight but Eddie
seemed to get a second wind and pinned Malenko after a Frogsplash at 16:43.

Winner and Still Champion: Eddie Guerrero

Tenay: Eddie Guerrero retains the WCW cruiserwieght title.

Shiavone: What a hard fought match.

Heenan: (nWo's music hits) Whats all this about! (Macho Man, Norton,Vincent,and Miss Elizabeth enter the ring area.)

Shiavone: Well I guess it's time for the Seix man tag gteam match between the nWo and the Steiners w/ Ray Traylor. Well lets go to the ring.


Match 2: Scott Norton, Vincent and Randy Savage (with Miss Elizabeth) (nWo) Vs. the Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott) and Ray Traylor (with Ted DiBiase) (WCW) in a Tag Team match
The nWo had their hands full with the Steiner's and Ray Traylor. But the numbers game changed when Norton criticaled Traylor. But the Steiners didn't give up. Rick and Scott took out Vincent. but Macho finished the match when he hit Rick Steiner with the Elbow drop for the 3 count at 32:43.

Winners: Scott Norton, Vincent and Randy Savage (with Miss Elizabeth) (nWo)

"Mean" Gene Oakerlund: Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen with me now none other than Diamond Dallas Page. Tonight DDP you face off against nWo member Curt Hennig.

Diamond Dallas Page: After tonight Hennig will be nothing but a memory. Becasue tonight He will Feel The Bang! and I will Bring The WCW United States Championship back to WCW.

"Mean" Gene: Well there you have it from Diamond Dallas Page. Tonight he plans to bring the WCW United States title back to WCW.

Shiavone: Thanks Gene, Now lets go to the ring for the next match.

Match 3: Bill Goldberg Vs. Steve McMichael in a Singles match
Bill Goldberg completely destroyed Steve Mcmicheal and finished it with a Jackhammer for a three count at 3:87.

Winner: Bill Goldberg

Shiavone: This Goldberg is a monster.

Tenay: I'm sure we are going to be hearing more about him in coming weeks.

Match 4: Saturn (with Raven) Vs. Chris Benoit in a Raven's Rules match
A very technical and very bloodly match but Chris Couldn't keep going and tapped out at 15:24.

Winner: Saturn

Match 5: Buff Bagwell (nWo) Vs. Lex Luger (WCW) in a Singles match
Luger and Buff made this match great. really back and forth. Lex was able to to get Buff in the torture rack.
but Buff escaped it and hit the blockbuster for the three at 17:44

Winner: Buff Bagwell

(the feed jumps and a video starts to play.)

Match 6: Diamond Dallas Page (WCW) Vs. Curt Hennig (c) (nWo) in a Singles match for the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship
This match was the best of the night both men left everything in the ring. DDP and Hennig showed me why they were two of my favorite wrestlers of all time. Henning had the momentum early on in the match until he hit the Heenig plex on DDP and DDP kicked out. Then the match became a real back and forth affair. until 18:43 when out of nowhere "DIAMOND CUTTER" and the pin.

Shiavone: DDP is the new WCW United States

Tenay: thats one belt that has come home to WCW

Shaivone: Theres no harder working wrestler in the world than Diamond Dallas Page.Now lets see which way Nitro goes.


Match 7: Larry Zbyszko (WCW) Vs. Eric Bischoff (with Scott Hall) (nWo) in a Singles match with Bret Hart as special guest referee ( if Eric Bischoff wins the nWo take over Monday Night Nitro)
Zbysko and Bischoff put on a pretty interesting match. But with everything riding on Zbyszko, he began to show his age. Eric Bischoff had Zbyszko pinned, but Bret Hart would not count the three. Scott Hall got involved and distracted Bret Hart allowing Bischoff to hit a low blow and a punt to Zbyszko's head. Bret Hart had no choice but to count the 3 at 24:29.

Winner: Eric Bischoff (nWo) and The nWo now runs nitro!!!!!

Shiavone: Oh my Gawd, We lost WCW nitro.

Tenay: Larry Zbyszko got screwed. This is just more proof that the Numbers game of the nWo is continuing

Heenan: But what does this mean for the WCW?

Shiavone: I have no Idea. But WCW my not lose everything tonight as Sting will face Hogan in just minuites


Match 8: Sting (WCW) Vs. Hollywood Hogan (c) (nWo) Singles match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship
Great match. Very back and forth with Hogan gaining momentum towards the end .until a quick suplex from Sting stopped him in his tracks. then a stinger splash and the scorpion deathlock and hogan taps at 23:43.

Winner and New WCW Champion:: Sting

(the entire WCW lockerroom empties into the ring celebrating with sting as the ppv feed ends)
